Traditional Higher Education WISE
Traditional Curriculum: Theory – Experiments based Competency benchmarked curriculum: Application – Practice – Production based
Limited Industry Linkage: Due to persisting Academic – Industry gap in curriculum, Industry linkage is limited to Industry Visit and Internship. Industry as Partner: Curriculum designing, Practical Training, Assessment, Certification: Industry contributes as a partner
Work Experience (only) after Education: Recognition to entry to work (as trainee/intern) only possible after Education, due to limited access to practical skills and productivity, during education Education with Work Experience: On Job Training /Apprenticeship, (unlike Internship), exposes to active participation in Industry’s process for a longer duration, thus valuing the experience and productivity

Practical and OJT at and by the Industry Partner assures for employability.
Single Mode of Delivery: Offline / Face-to-Face Flexible Mode of Delivery: Face-to-Face, Online, On-site, On-the-job, In -campus

Program Highlights

Systematic Learning

WISE focuses on hands-on experiences with tools and technique rather than theoretical knowledge, which helps trainees to understand industry practices and processes. The student-trainee can try out the tasks on their own and clear their doubts, while being supervised by the trainer.

Professional Orientation

Training on the job is given to the student at the work locations, which makes it easy for them to connect with their co-workers, and employers. Moreover, they become more familiar with the workplace and work culture of the company that enhances the professional orientation. These include company hierarchy, dress code, safety practices, industry jargon, productivity expectations and working relationships with colleagues.

Quick Productivity

Industry or any Workplace wants to onboard new employees as soon as possible rather than wasting their resources on bench. OJT helps student-trainees to learn quickly and gives hands-on experience at their working location itself. This also helps the company to onboard them as per their requirement and eliminates the bench time.

Feedback Driven Growth

During OJT, all the things are supervised under a senior employee who guide student-trainees and provide feedback as per performance. These feedbacks are very valuable to improve the skills, as it is given by someone who already has hands-on experience and knowledge of the tools and technique.

Learn & Earn

The stipend received by the candidate from the Industry/Organisation during on job training / apprenticeship becomes an additional incentive. The amount of stipend varies according to sector, industry, and location. For students unable to attain professional higher education due to financial constraint, WISE can be a powerful instrument.

Employment Readiness

In OJT, the student-trainees get an opportunity for active participation in service or production related professional activities complying with the organisational culture. It shapes and assures their overall employability aspect after they complete the programme. Always, they remain as the first choice for the Industries because of their immediate productivity at the workplace. They are considered as trained / experienced despite having a fresh degree.
