MA IN MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT

In today's digital age, media and entertainment play a central role in shaping cultural narratives, influencing public discourse, and fostering community engagement across diverse platforms and mediums. This program provides students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of the industry landscape, develop specialized skills, and explore emerging trends and technologies in media production, storytelling, marketing, and audience analytics.


The Master of Arts in Media and Entertainment program provides students with a comprehensive curriculum that integrates theory, research, and hands-on practice to prepare them for leadership roles in the media and entertainment industry. Through a combination of core courses, electives, and practical experiences, students will explore key areas such as media theory, media law and ethics, content creation, digital media strategy, audience analysis, and media management. With access to cutting-edge resources, industry partnerships, and experiential learning opportunities, students will develop the skills, knowledge, and professional network needed to succeed in this dynamic and competitive field. The program emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, and strategic planning, empowering students to address complex challenges and opportunities facing the media and entertainment industry. Note: * Duration for Paramedical programmes (MLT/RIT/OTT/DT/EMT/OPTOMETRY) may extend by 3 months to 1 Year (Approx) to include Internship/On the Job Training for the awarding of Degree/Diploma as per the guidelines (if any) from State Allied and Healthcare Council, Sikkim.
