Respiratory Therapy is a specialized branch of healthcare focused on helping individuals with breathing problems. When someone has difficulty breathing due to asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or even a life-threatening condition like COVID-19, Respiratory Therapists step in to assist. They use various techniques and equipment to improve lung function, administer medications, and provide critical care to patients struggling to breathe. Essentially, Respiratory Therapy is about ensuring that every breath counts, making it a rewarding and impactful profession for those passionate about healthcare.

This undergraduate program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to become competent Respiratory Therapists. Through a combination of classroom lectures, laboratory sessions, and clinical rotations, students learn about respiratory anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, therapeutic interventions, and patient care techniques. Upon graduation, BSc Respiratory Therapy graduates have a wide range of career opportunities awaiting them. They can work in hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, and even in-home healthcare settings. With the increasing prevalence of respiratory diseases and the aging population, the demand for Respiratory Therapists is expected to grow significantly, ensuring a promising future for those pursuing this field. So, if you're interested in making a difference in people's lives by helping them breathe easier, a BSc in Respiratory Therapy could be the perfect path for you.
